Waldorf College's homecoming, "The Faces of Waldorf" hopes to include faces from the community as well as the college
Homecoming weekend is Friday through Sunday, Sept. 23-25.
The event is scheduled 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at locations across campus. Registration is 9 to 9:15 a.m. in the Atrium, located between Salveson and Thorson halls. The monthly Open House events are the best way for students to experience Waldorf College.
Local college students are learning how one young American ventured out and decided to work his way out of poverty with just 25 dollars to his name.
Adam Shepard, author of "Scratch Beginnings," spoke at Waldorf College on Wednesday. His book chronicles a social experiment he organized for himself.
Waldorf College is proud to announce the winner of the Waldorf Hero Behind the Hero Scholarship, which honors the spouses and children of active-duty public safety personnel (firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs and dispatchers) and military men and women.
Being mindful of Waldorf College's mission has resulted in national recognition for the school's wellness major program. Kristi Leonard, a professor in the program, said the school's program is one of the few in the nation that is a combination of exercise science and health.

A new security camera system has been installed throughout the Waldorf College campus to further protect students and property, Waldorf officials announced this week.
