Dr. David S. Sollish holds a Ph.D. in Musical Theatre Direction/Arts Management from Bowling Green State University, an M.S. in Theatre History, Theory, and Criticism from Illinois State University, and a B.F.A. in Theatre from West Virginia University. As a professional actor for 28 years and a professional director for 12, Dr. Sollish has worked with some of the best and brightest from stage, film, and screen including several Tony Award nominees and winners. Dr. Sollish has performed and directed throughout the Midwest and East Coast and has a continuing relationship with several diverse theatre companies. As a scholar of musical theatre, Dr. Sollish has presented papers/workshops at several conferences including ATHE, MATC, and the Sagacious Stephen Sondheim Symposium; he has also been published in Theatre Journal and the Sondheim Review. He lives with his wife, Kelsey, in Forest City.
