Perkins Loan Information & Administration
Students who have been awarded a Perkins Loan through their financial aid award letter will receive the loan after the required promissory note is signed and the student has attended an entrance interview which explains the Perkins Loan program. The loan will be credited to the students account as follows: ½ in fall and ½ in winter. Students may pick up information regarding their loan, repayment terms, cancellation, postponement, and deferral at the Waldorf College Business Office.
All paperwork can be completed online. Click here to complete the process. Or to request forms or for questions regarding the Perkins Loan Program, please contact Bev Retland at retlandb@waldorf.edu or call 641-585-8144.
Students must attend an exit interview for Perkins Loans in their last semester. The exit interview will provide important information regarding the repayment of the loan and pertinent addresses. The College is unable to release transcripts, diplomas or any other information regarding the record of any student who has not attended the mandatory exit interview.
The College reserves the right to withhold registration materials, transcripts, diplomas and all other information regarding the record of any student who is in arrears in the payment of tuition, fees or any other amounts due the College including Perkins or Direct Student Loans. A student may be dismissed from the College for continued delinquency of financial obligations. Unpaid bills will be turned over to a collection agency. Collection and/or other finance charges must be paid by the student in addition to the unpaid amount before the College can release information as described in the preceding paragraph.
