Wrestlers defeat St. Olaf - dual record now 2-0

The Waldorf College Wrestling team defeated St. Olaf College 45-7 in dual action tonight. The dual record now stands at 2-0.
The Warriors started off strong tonight as Venel Rene defeated Brian Cross with a score of 14-5 to pull ahead 4-0. At 133 Jon Mendoza was defeated by Ryan Timmerman to bring the team score back to 4-4. From that point, Waldorf took a commanding lead with Jeff Marval at 141 defeating Nathan Waslaski 15-0 for Tech Fall points to put the Warriors in the lead.
At 149 David Fuller won by forfeit to put Waldorf up 15-4. Jeremy Padilla(157), Adam Herrick(184), Jeff Roman(197), and John Coyle(285) each scored falls for the Warriors pushing the final score to 45-7.

With this win the dual record for the Warrior wrestlers climbs to 2-0. The wrestlers next travel to Indianola where they will compete in the Simpson College Invite on Saturday, Dec. 6. Wrestling begins at 9 a.m.
