Dr. Bradley Creswell’s versatile and distinguished musical career has spanned the United States from Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall to the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. As a leading tenor in both musical theater and opera, Dr. Creswell has performed with many prominent regional opera companies and symphonies including the Detroit Symphony, the Kalamazoo Symphony, and Springfield Lyric Opera. Dr. Creswell has sung under the baton of Helmuth Rilling at Carnegie Hall, and was a member of the Carolina Chamber Chorale in performances at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. He is featured on recordings under the Albany label. Dr. Creswell has studied voice with William Appel, Charles Roe, Eva Likova, and Beverley Rinaldi and coached with Eugene Bossart, and Martin Katz.
Equally gifted as a singer and conductor, Dr. Creswell holds the Master of Music Degree in vocal performance from the University of Michigan, and the Doctor of Musical Arts in choral conducting from Michigan State University. He has conducted choirs and taught voice at the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Manchester College. For eighteen summers, Dr. Creswell was a faculty member at the internationally renowned Interlochen Center for the Arts where he was music director for the musical theater productions and taught voice.
Dr. Bradley Creswell was the conductor of the Waldorf Choir from 1998 through 2004. During that time, the choir performed at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, the Crystal Cathedral, and toured throughout Europe and the United States. Currently, Dr. Creswell teaches voice, lyric diction and music theory. He is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the American Choral Directors Association.
