Vocal Performance

Studying vocal performance at Waldorf College gives students cutting edge knowledge and opportunities. A Bachelor of Arts degree in vocal music affords students a combination of training and performance opportunities. Involvement with the Waldorf Choir, Sangkor, the St. Christopher Chorale or any number of chamber ensembles gives each student a professional setting to prepare for a career or for further study in vocal music. Students learn the fundamentals of vocal and opera pedagogy with professional-quality coaching and lessons from a staff of conductors, studio professors and performing artists.

Each year, the music department teams with the theatre department to produce an opera scenes program and a major musical theatre production. Students participate as singers and also as part of the production crew learning the technical and musical aspects of musical theatre.
