Head Coach Paul Meyer enters his second year as the head volleyball coach at Waldorf College, looking to build on the success of his rookie season.
During his team's first year, the Warriors overcame a slow start of only 5 wins out of 11 matches to rally with a 13-match winning streak. The streak found the Warriors losing only three sets and winning 11 of the matches, 3-0. The Warriors finished the year with a 22-9 overall record, and a 6-2 conference mark, earning them a tie for the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championship.
Meyer, who received his associate's degree at Waldorf College in 1987, attended Mankato State University, graduating in 1991 with a degree in physical education.
Before returning to Waldorf College in 2008, Meyer spent 19 years as a high school coach in Minnesota. During his high school coaching career, Meyer accumulated over 200 wins and was voted 8AAA Section Coach of the Year during his tenure at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School
Coach Meyer has also been very active as a club coach throughout his career. He has coached a variety of club teams including Granite City in St. Cloud, Minn.; Heartland in Monticello, Minn.; and his own club, The Warrior Volleyball Club, in Forest City. |

Abby Leach

Abby Leach enters her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Waldorf College volleyball team.
Leach has coached various club teams, assisted with high school varsity volleyball programs, and has organized multiple camps and clinics for elementary and junior high girls.
Leach began her college volleyball career at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minn. During her sophomore year, she helped lead the team to a championship finish at the MCCC State Tournament, and to a third place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament.
Before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin - Superior, Leach earned an Associate of Arts degree from Central Lake College.
Leach is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Business Administration here at Waldorf College. |

Brianna Gray

Brianna Gray enters her third year as a student assistant coach for the Waldorf volleyball team. Gray started volunteer coaching various teams during high school and continues her work with those teams while at Waldorf.
Gray is a 2006 graduate of South Tama County High School where she was a four sport athlete. At Waldorf, Gray is a member of the women's basketball team. Last season, she received the honor of being an NAIA All-Scholar Athlete.
Gray will graduate from Waldorf College in May 2010 with a major in Communications and a minor in Business, as well as a coaching authorization. |

Sarah Leichsenring

Sarah Leichsenring, a 2006 graduate of Clarion-Goldfield High School, enters her second season as a student assistant coach for the Waldorf volleyball team as she begins her senior year at Waldorf College.
After playing two seasons for the Warriors, Leichsenring held various coaching positions, working with high school girls softball, basketball, and club volleyball teams.
Leichsenring will graduate in May with her degree in Secondary Social Sciences Education and Coaching Endorsement.

Eva Mills

Eva Mills enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Waldorf volleyball team.
Mills began coaching as a volunteer high school AAU coach. In the summer of 2009, Mills co-coached at volleyball camps held for middle school and high school athletes. She was also involved in the selection of team members for the 2009 Warrior Volleyball Club team.
Previous to becoming an assistant coach, Mills played for the Warriors. During her time as a member of the Waldorf volleyball team, Mills was a two-time Academic All-American. in 2008, she was a co-captain for the Warriors and was selected as an NAIA Champion of Character at the conclusion of the season.
Mills will graduate from Waldorf College in May 2010 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. |

Sara Baker

Sara Baker enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Waldorf volleyball team.
Baker has previously coach junior high volleyball teams as well as club volleyball teams. She has also assisted with over ten volleyball camps.
She started her college career at Riverside Community College where she earned an associate of arts and science degree. Baker then transferred to Waldorf College where she became a member of the Waldorf College volleyball team.
During Baker's time as a student-athlete, she was a four time All-Conference player. She has received various individual awards, including setter of the week and All-Tournament team.
Baker will graduate from Waldorf College in the spring of 2010. She will have earned a degree in Wellness, with a minor in Biology. |
