Kristle Wolcott

Kristle Wolcott is in her second season as Head Coach for the Waldorf College Softball team.  In her first season, Wolcott led the Warriors to a second place regular season finish with a 19-7 conference record.  At 32-14 overall, the Warriors finished the season by winning the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament, receiving the automatic bid into the NAIA National Tournament in Decatur, Alabama.

Wolcott earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Wellness at Waldorf College.  She went on to earn her Master of Arts Degree in Physical Education with a Sports Management emphasis as a Graduate Assistant at Minnesota State University.

While at MSU, Wolcott helped the Mavericks to 2 NCAA Regional Playoffs, a Conference Championship in 2007 with a 45-15 record, and a second place conference finish in 2008 with a 42-16 record.

Previous to MSU, Wolcott spent one year as a graduate assistant at the University of Northern Colorado.  The Bears were in their first season of transition from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division I.  They won the Independent National Tournament in 2006.

Wolcott also has experience at the high school level as she spent three seasons as an assistant coach with Clear Lake High School in Clear Lake, Iowa.  In 2002, she helped lead the Lions to a third place state tournament finish.  She was also the head coach for two seasons.

Mike Keefe

Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach Mike Keefe was born and raised in Decorah, Iowa. He completed his college education at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. Mike worked as a fire investigator for the State Fire Marshals Office and is now retired after 32 years of service.

He has played fast pitch softball for nearly 30 years both in Decorah and Mason City and as well as several other teams in Iowa. Mike has volunteered for the Clear Lake High School Softball team for many years teaching young girls how to pitch, including his two daughters who became very successful pitchers during their high school softball careers. Because of his love and dedication of the game he was recently inducted into the River City Softball Hall of Fame in Mason City, Iowa.

Mike resides in Clear Lake, Iowa with his wife Sue and their two yellow labs Lindy and Toby.

   
 

Christina Schmidt

Christina Schmidt enters her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Waldorf College softball team.

After graduating from Preston High School in Preston, Iowa, Schmidt attended Loras College, a NCAA Division III school in Dubuque, Iowa, where she played softball. In her sophomore year, Schmidt helped lead the Duhawks to the IIAC (Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Conference Tournament.

Before coming to Waldorf, Schmidt was an assistant coach at her alma mater, Preston High School, and headed the junior high program. In 2008, Preston High School finished seventh at the State Softball Tournament.

In May of 2009, Schmidt earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Management and Administration with a Public Relations Minor.

Schmidt is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Business Administration at Waldorf College.
