WALDORF FOOTBALL
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM

Athletic ability is not enough to succeed at the college
level. The Waldorf Football strength and conditioning program is designed
to help develop your God-given abilities to their fullest. This requires
a year-round program that emphasizes functional strength preparing
for the specific demands of your position.
Off season:
1. Power and explosiveness using ground-based
lifts.
2.
Plyometrics.
3.
Speed training.
4.
Agility development.
In season:
1. Technique
2. Strength maintenance
You will not just grow stronger and faster but
you will develop your flexibility and overall athleticism making you
a better football player, not just a weight-lifter. Our goal is to
provide a program that is safe, efficient and compatible with the physical
needs of a collegiate football athlete.
We are a year-round lifting
program and we break the program into phases. This prevents athletes
from the plateau effect and allows for the biggest gains in strength,
explosiveness and speed. Our core lifts are:
1. HANG CLEAN
2. PUSH
PRESS
3. SQUAT
4. BENCH
Our auxiliary lifts focus
on core (midsection from the chest to the upper thighs), shoulder
and back strength for the supporting muscles aiding in the core
lifts and preventing injury.
As a Waldorf football player we will help
to develop you to be your best. Our strength and conditioning program
will take you to the next level as you commit and push yourself during
your time as a student-athlete. What you will become is up to you
and the work you put in but we are dedicated to giving you the tools
to succeed.
