Living and Working in the Twin Cities

The Alumni office and Career Services office coordinated a day trip for Waldorf juniors and seniors who are interested in living and working in the Twin Cities. Area alumni of differing ages and backgrounds participated in the day long event held March 4, 2008, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, by speaking on various work-related topics or serving on a panel. Following the panel discussion, alumni had the opportunity to critique student's resumes and cover letters, and offer suggestions for improvement.

At the end of the day, more area alumni joined students and President Hanson for at time of networking and appetizers at the Airport Marriott. Alumni were encouraged to bring their business cards and, if called upon, serve as a resource and mentor to a Waldorf student interested in living and working in the Twin Cities area. Many contacts and connections were made.
