E-mail Directory FAQ
This directory will enable you to list your e-mail address and find classmate’s e-mail addresses on the Waldorf website. It is one more way we are helping classmates to connect with one another.
Who can be listed in the e-mail directory?
Any Waldorf alumnus who signs up.
Will I automatically be placed in this e-mail directory?
No, you will need to complete a form that gives Waldorf permission to place your e-mail address in this e-mail directory.
What information will be in the directory?
Your name as a student, class year and e-mail address. You will be able to search the list by class year or name as a student.
Who will have access to this e-mail directory?
Only Waldorf alumni and a few key Waldorf faculty and staff. Because the directory will be password protected, Waldorf will control who receives access.
I’m concerned that by placing my name on the website I will be sent junk e-mail (“spam mail”) by businesses who take e-mail addresses off the internet.
We have taken steps to limit this possibility. First, the e-mail directory will be password protected. This makes it difficult for a company or any individual to “farm” our e-mail directory for their mailing list. Secondly, we will ask each alum who signs up for this service to agree that they will not use or sell this list for business purposes.
How do I sign up?
You can join the directory by filling in the form at http://www.waldorf.edu/alumni/directory/directory.htm Once you have been verified as a Waldorf alum you will receive a confirmation e-mail giving you permission to access the directory.
You will be asked to agree to the following policies before receiving access to the directory:
- This e-mail directory is for Waldorf alumni only.
- This e-mail directory is for the sole purpose of connecting classmates together.
- To have access to the e-mail directory, you must have your e-mail address listed.
- This e-mail directory cannot be used for mass e-mail distribution. For example, it cannot be used for business purposes, selling items, or personal promotion of ideas or beliefs.
- Each alum is responsible for maintaining their correct e-mail address. Waldorf reserves the rights to occasionally send out a mass e-mail to the entire directory for the purpose of determining if any of the e-mail addresses are outdated.
- If your e-mail address becomes outdated and Waldorf is not notified, your access to the e-mail directory will be terminated.
- You cannot copy this e-mail directory to sell or give to another person, business, institution or organization.
- Please allow two working days to respond to password requests or complaints.
