WLCA Delegates

Delegates are congregational leaders who serve as the official representatives from the Lutheran congregations comprising the Waldorf Lutheran College Association. Each congregation is allowed two delegates. The best time for association congregations to nominate their delegates is at their congregational annual meeting.

During their year term, specific responsibilities of delegates include:

  1. Attendance at the Annual Meeting of the Waldorf College Association, which is held at Waldorf College. At this meeting, delegates will hear reports, participate in discussion of matters of concern to or brought before the Association, and elect members of the Board of Regents.
  2. Serving as a contact person within the congregation to facilitate “two-way” communication between the College and the congregation.
  3. Identifying students who should consider Waldorf College.
  4. Assisting the College in identifying leaders who would enhance its success in fulfilling its mission. This includes identifying potential Board of Regent candidates.
  5. Promote an annual “Waldorf Sunday” within the congregation.
  6. Consider including Waldorf College in their stewardship of personal resources.
  7. Pray for Waldorf College regularly during their term as delegator and encourage their congregation to regularly include Waldorf in the congregation’s prayer life.
