    Warrior Women in Leadership Scholarship Program

    The Warrior Women in Leadership (WWiL) Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to young women seeking a full-time residential degree at Waldorf University. These scholarships, up to full-tuition, are awarded to women based on their leadership potential and membership in specific, co-curricular campus organizations.

    Create U Scholarship

    Geared toward students with a creative passion in film, graphic design, news writing, photojournalism or public relations/event planning, the Create U scholarship will award one student a $10,000 annual scholarship as they pursue their communications degree at Waldorf University.

    Leadership Scholarship

    The Leadership Scholarship provides financial assistance to students seeking a full-time residential degree at Waldorf University. These scholarships, starting at $9,000, are awarded based on leadership potential and membership in specific, co-curricular campus organizations.

    Music Scholarships

    Waldorf University Music Department annually awards scholarships to students involved in instrumental music, piano and vocal music. Generous music scholarships are awarded to incoming students as part of their total financial aid package and are renewable as long as the student continues a commitment to the program. Music Scholarships are awarded to all music majors and non-music majors who wish to be involved in the program. Students who are interested in a music scholarship are encouraged to apply and audition.

    Theatre Scholarships

    Being an open program, The Waldorf University Theatre Department offers generous scholarship opportunities for students – both those majoring in theatre, as well as those who embrace drama as a lifelong activity. Whether a student wishes to strive for a career on the Broadway stage, loves the hands-on feel of building and/or painting sets, or just wants to be a part of the close family unit of a live performance, The Theatre Department welcomes and encourages all individuals to be a part of the cast and crew.

    Scholarship Day

    Attend Waldorf University Scholarship Day to compete for one full tuition scholarship ($19,266 value)* or five $2,000 scholarships. All other participants will receive textbooks at no cost during their first semester (textbooks must be returned at the completion of the semester in normal wear and tear condition)

    New freshman applicants qualify to compete in Scholarship Day if they have either a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA (with a minimum 18 ACT/940 SAT) or a minimum 23 ACT/1130 SAT (with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA). Full tuition and $2,000 winners must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at Waldorf University to maintain their scholarship.

    Open House Travel Grant

    The best way to experience Waldorf is to attend an open house, where you can tour the campus, meet students, chat with professors and learn about a variety of degree programs.     Drama Peer Ministry Scholarship

    The role of Peer Ministers is to share their particular gifts with the Waldorf community and to encourage others in the community to share their gifts as well. The Drama Peer Minister will be part of the larger group of Peer Ministers involved with Waldorf University and Immanuel Lutheran Church.

    Waldorf Merit Scholarships – Freshmen

    Waldorf Merit Scholarships for incoming freshmen are awarded based on high school GPA and composite ACT score. The following awards are available:

    • Regents Scholarship – $15,000
    • Presidential Scholarship – $10,000
    • Excellence Scholarship – $6,000
    • Transformational Scholarship – $5,000
    • Promise Award – $3,000
    • Belief Award – $1,000

    Waldorf Merit Scholarships – Transfer Students

    Merit scholarships are also available for transfer students. They are based on a student's cumulative GPA from their previous colleges and/or universities at the time of acceptance:

    • Warrior Scholarship (3.5 Cumulative GPA and higher) – $6,000
    • Torch Scholarship (3.0-3.49 Cumulative GPA) – $5,000
    • Truth Award (2.5-2.99 Cumulative GPA) – $3,000
    • Light Award (2.49 Cumulative GPA and below) – $1,000

    Dollars for Scholars Matching Funds

    The Dollars for Scholars Matching Funds is awarded to students who receive local chapter scholarships. The university must be notified by August 15 prior to the student's period of enrollment in order to receive the matching funds. Maximum match is $200.

    Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship – Transfer Students

    The Student Must:

    • Have submitted a completed scholarship application. The application also contains a section for advisor verification from their Community College of the State Phi Theta Kappa office.
    • Be a member in good standing of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society or was a member in good standing at the time of their enrollment in the Community College.
    • Have maintained a cumulative transfer GPA of 3.3 or better.
    • Not currently have a bachelor’s degree.

    The Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship can be renewed a second year for an additional $2,000 for those awardees who have successfully completed 30 hours of credit with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

    Hero Behind The Hero Scholarship

    Waldorf University recognizes the sacrifices made by the family members of America’s military men and women and public safety personnel (firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs and dispatchers) and is proud to award scholarships to online and residential students through the Hero Behind the Hero Scholarship Program.

    Education Partners in Covenant

    Education Partners in Covenant (EPIC) is a cooperative venture among congregations of the three Iowa Evangelical Lutheran Church and America synods. Congregations elect to support students with grants of $100 to $500 per student and colleges match the grants.

    The EPIC scholarship is available to current students who are confirmed members of the congregation. Student must be enrolled in the program and have their level of participation determined by March 1 prior to the student's year of attendance.

    Special Ability Awards

    Special Ability Awards in athletics, communication, drama and music are available for students demonstrating high achievement and potential in any of these areas. Auditions, high school records, portfolios, films and recommendations are used to select the recipients.

    Waldorf University partners with the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department to offer an annual scholarship (up to $17,100) to one of their members.

    Hero Behind The Hero Scholarship

    Waldorf University recognizes the sacrifices made by the family members of America’s military men and women and public safety personnel (firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs and dispatchers) and is proud to award scholarships to online and residential students through the Hero Behind the Hero Scholarship Program.

    Learning Partner Scholarship

    Waldorf University partners with numerous associations, companies and organizations and provide these Learning Partners with a 10 percent tuition discount. Additionally, Waldorf offers a special scholarship program exclusively for Learning Partners.

    The scholarship covers up to $17,100 in one online degree program and will be applied directly to the recipient’s tuition for up to three years or until the completion of the selected online degree program, whichever comes first. This scholarship covers tuition only. Textbooks will be covered by Waldorf University’s Loan-a-Book program.  All student fees are the responsibility of the student.

    Mississippi Fire Service Memorial Scholarship

    Waldorf University partners with the Mississippi Fire Chiefs Association to offer an annual scholarship (up to $17,100) to one of their members.

    The scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient’s tuition for up to three years or until the completion of the selected online degree program, whichever comes first. This scholarship covers tuition only. All student fees are the responsibility of the student.

    John Thompson NSA Scholarship

    Waldorf University partners with the National Sheriff’s Association to offer an annual scholarship (up to $17,100) to one of their members in honor of John Thompson, NSA Deputy Executive Director.

    The scholarship will be applied directly to the recipient’s tuition for up to three years, 60 semester hours or until the completion of the selected online degree program, whichever comes first.
