Chemical Engineering & Physical Science
Chemical Engineering and Physical Science is a cooperative degree program between Waldorf College and Iowa State University. The curriculum enables students to simultaneously earn a BA degree in Physical Science from Waldorf at the same time that they earn a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University.
The first four semesters will be conducted in the liberal arts Lutheran tradition at Waldorf where science, math and other classes will be small. The last five semesters will be conducted primarily at the state-of-the-art chemical engineering facilities at Iowa State University. An internship managed by Waldorf faculty will occur in the summer of the senior year between the eight and ninth semesters. Students who complete the program will have a broad liberal arts background as well as a strong preparation for registration as a professional engineer in Iowa and all other states.
