Several scholarships are awarded annually such as:
Applying does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded. Scholarships have varying deadlines and application requirements.
Actual award criteria are established annually based on the availability of scholarship funds.
We also encourage you to submit a Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) to determine additional resources that may be available to help fund your education.
Waldorf College Grants are awarded to students on a need and "no-need" basis. In addition, Waldorf annually funds numerous Special Ability Awards.
Waldorf Merit Scholarships for incoming freshmen are awarded based on high school GPA and composite ACT score. The following awards are available:
Merit scholarships are also available for transfer students. They are based on a student's cumulative GPA from their previous colleges and/or universities:
Special Ability Awards in athletics, communication, music and drama are available for students demonstrating high achievement and potential in any of these areas.
Auditions, high school records, portfolios, films and recommendations are used to select the recipients.
In past years, Waldorf has provided over $4.1 million in institutional financial aid.
EPIC is a cooperative venture between congregations of the three Iowa ELCA synods. Congregations elect to support students with grants of $100 to $500 per student and colleges match the grants. Students must be confirmed members of the congregation and the congregation must be enrolled in the program and have their level of participation determined by March 1 prior to the student's year of attendance.
Awarded to students who receive local chapter scholarships. The college must be notified by August 15 prior to the student's period of enrollment in order to receive the matching funds. Maximum match is $200.
This scholarship is open to students who will be entering their junior year in the fall of 2011. Students must be enrolled at an accredited college or university and of Norwegian descent, with preference given to applicants from the Bomlo Community of Norway. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Award: $1,000 Deadline: July 15, 2012
Hovland Scholarship application
The scholarship is limited to two award years.
$1000 scholarships are available for women or men who meet the following requirements:

A copy of your transcripts (no seal required) along with three (3) letters of reference must be included with your application. A contact number is provided in the brochure in the Financial Aid office.

The Student Must:
The Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship can be renewed a second year for an additional $2,000 for those awardees who have successfully completed 30 hours of credit with 3.0 or higher grade point average.

This is a $1,500 scholarship, eligible to contestants in an accredited college or university in the United States for the 2012-2013 school year. Entry deadline: Friday, March 23, 2012. More information can found here.
