Waldorf College Grants are awarded to students on a need and "no-need" basis. In addition, Waldorf annually funds numerous Special Ability Awards.
Waldorf Merit Scholarships for incoming freshmen are awarded based on high school GPA and composite ACT score. The following awards are available:
Merit scholarships are also available for transfer students. They are based on a student's cumulative GPA from their previous colleges and/or universities:
Special Ability Awards in athletics, communication, music and drama are available for students demonstrating high achievement and potential in any of these areas.
Auditions, high school records, portfolios, films and recommendations are used to select the recipients. Students who wish to apply for Special Ability Awards should request a special application form when applying for admission in the space provided on the Application for Admission.
In past years, Waldorf has provided over $4.1 million in institutional financial aid.
EPIC is a cooperative venture between congregations of the three Iowa ELCA synods. Congregations elect to support students with grants of $100 to $500 per student and colleges match the grants. Students must be confirmed members of the congregation and the congregation must be enrolled in the program and have their level of participation determined by March 1 prior to the student's year of attendance.
These grants are awarded to International students based on TOEFL scores. The grants range from $5,000 to $6,000.
Awarded to students who receive local chapter scholarships. The college must be notified by August 15 prior to the student's period of enrollment in order to receive the matching funds. Maximum match is $200.
Three $1000 scholarships are offered annually by AFCEA to engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry, math, statistics or biology students who meet the following requirements:

Open to juniors who are enrolled at an accredited college or university and who are of Norwegian descent, with preference given to applicants from the Bomlo Community of Norway. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Award: $1,000 Deadline: July 15, 2010

Bethesda's scholarship and award program encourages Lutheran youth to develop God-pleasing attitudes and actions toward people with individual differences, and to consider careers in the field of developmental disabilities services. Two $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to sophomores or juniors pursuing undergraduate degrees in any area of service to people with developmental disabilities.

John Gyles Education Awards are a result of the private benevolent endeavor established in 1990. The awards are only available to full Canadian or United States citizens. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Criteria other than strictly academic ability and financial need are considered in the selection process.
The 2010 deadline for mailing applications is May 1. Applications are available online.
Scholarships to attend the first year of curriculum at the Iowa School of Banking will be awarded to two students interested in a career in banking. The session will be held June 13-18, 2010 at the Marriott Hotel located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The scholarships will pay all room, board and tuition expenses for the session.
