If you’re looking for an exciting new endeavor for your kids this summer, consider one of the two youth theatre camps offered at Waldorf College! Each camp is designed for a particular age group, ensuring that your child will get the most out of their experience with peers their own age!

Burning Youth Theatre Experience (BYTE)

June 24-27, 2010

BYTE is designed for students aged 13-18 and college students interested in a unique theatre intensive. Offered as an overnight camp, students will learn and reside on the Waldorf campus. BYTE features college and professional training in acting, movement, voice, audition technique, verse, language and text, dramatic writing, and performance techniques and is suitable for students engaged in upper junior high, high school, or college drama, speech and thespian activities. The camp will provide advanced students with upper-level training in these areas and all students with skills in opening up, speaking in public, acting with confidence, and tackling the inner workings for text and acting.

  • Tuition for BYTE is $300 (includes meals, residency for the duration of the camp and t-shirt).
  • Early registration tuition is $275 and must be made by May 1, 2010.

Midsummer Playcademy Day Camp

July 5-9, 2010
Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Friday from 3 -7 p.m.

The Midsummer Playcademy Day Camp is designed for students aged 7-12. Students will study acting, voice, movement, costuming, makeup and many other elements of making theatre. This camp will include a public showcase for parents, grandparents and community members. Midsummer Playcademy will provide students with a chance to engage in unbridled creativity.

  • Tuition for Midsummer Playcademy is $150 (includes meals for the week and a t-shirt).
  • Early registration tuition is $125 and must be made by May 1, 2010.
