Current students, faculty, staff and community members with a valid Luise V. Hanson Library card are eligible to borrow materials from the library. Waldorf College ID cards serve as the official library card for the college community. Non-Waldorf community members will need to obtain a library card from the circulation desk. An official form of identification with a current Iowa address (e.g. driver's license) is needed for community members to receive a library card.
Renewal requests can be made in person, via email (library@waldorf.edu), or by phone (641.585.8110).
All library materials are checked out at the circulation desk. Overdue fines are $.10/item per day. A standard replacement charge of $50.00, which includes a nonrefundable $10 billing fee per item, will be assessed for overdue items not returned at the end of each academic semester. The library reserves the right to modify the charge if the replacement value is significantly higher than the standard charge. Current Waldorf faculty members are exempt from overdue fines. *Please refer to the interlibrary loan policies page for information on overdue fines for interlibrary loan materials.
