Weekend Anchor/Reporter, KIMT_TV, Mason City, IA

KIMT-TV (CBS) in Mason City, IA is seeking a Weekend Anchor/Reporter. From story conception to delivering it live on-air, the person filling this full time position will do it all.

Experience: Solid news judgment, creative writing and strong storytelling are some of the skills the winning applicant should possess. Strong on-air presence is a must. This position anchors and produces the Saturday night newscasts, while also serving as a strong fill-in for other newscasts for KIMT News 3. The position will also report four days a week.

Requirements: Applicants should have a four-year degree in Broadcast Journalism or Broadcast Communications. Past experience is preferred. Candidates should own strong writing, edit and presentation skills. The person needs to multi-task in an intense, creative and ever-changing environment, while placing emphasis on accuracy. Knowledge of digital cameras and non-linear editing are a must.

Any offer of employment is contingent upon successfully passing a substance abuse test and a background screening. Successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. KIMT-TV is an EOE.
