Applicant should have experience in scene painting, as an assistant set designer, charge, or painter, with knowledge of various paint techniques. A creative approach to problem solving is a key. Knowledge of carpentry and power tools is essential, as general shop work is also required. Work closely with the scene designer/TD on these aspects for each production. The position offers an opportunity for a dynamic, take-charge individual to have an immediate and positive impact on the operation and the direction of the company. An interest in working with theatre for young audiences is a definite plus.
Salary: $120 a week plus housing, health club membership. Initial contract begins in May 2011 and concludes in April 2012
