INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTIONS

COMMITMENT:
Internships usually run from September to December, January to May, or June to August. We do provide flexibility in terms of start dates and hours. A minimum commitment of 15-20 hours (depending on department) or 40 hours for Stage Management per week is required. Interns also are expected to attend weekly staff meetings to increase their understanding of the organization as a whole.

We expect a willingness to work hard and high standards of performance. In return, interns are treated as members of our professional staff and receive intensive hands-on experience. We ask that all interns be reliable, conscientious and energetic.

ACADEMIC CREDIT:
Second Stage will assist interns to meet the credit requirements of individual schools but all arrangements for credit must be made by the intern.

EVALUATION:
Interns are evaluated in meetings with their supervisors before leaving Second Stage. These meetings provide a forum for discussion of the intern's progress, future expectations, projects, and goals.
