Amarillo Magazine, a monthly publication dedicated to discovering all that is authentically Amarillo, is seeking unpaid interns for the summer of 2012.
Qualified candidates must be a junior or senior college student and have maintained an overall GPA of 3.0. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, have excellent writing abilities and be comfortable working on a deadline. Students must be working toward a journalism, public relations, mass communications or English degree. Personal transportation is required. The Amarillo Globe-News will pay mileage for interns when they are on duty.
An internship with Amarillo Magazine presents students with an outstanding, real-world opportunity for hands-on experience in magazine publishing. From brainstorming and planning to writing, editing and participating in photo shoots, eligible candidates will be exposed to every facet of producing a monthly publication.
