The Minnesota Department of Human Services in St. Paul is seeking students for an unpaid communications internship for 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday, day schedule, from late May/June-August/early September, 2014.
Job Duties: This internship offers the opportunity to be involved with communications
planning, media relations, feature writing, special events, internal communications, publications and web work.
There are two positions. One would focus primarily on children and family services. Another would focus on services for older Minnesotans and people with mental illness, chemical dependency, developmental disabilities and other disabilities.
Requires: Strong writing, editing, research and organizational skills. Coursework in journalism, media and public relations/affairs, marketing or mass communications.
