Public Relations Intern, Dinner Theatre, Chanhassen, MN

Reports to: Director of Marketing & Sales / Marketing Manager

Status: Part-time, Unpaid  Shifts Available: M-F, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (occasional evening/weekend hours)

Summary:
Under supervision, this unpaid position will provide assistance in a variety of communication activities to ensure implementation of marketing and public relations plans.

Possible Projects:
* Assist PR Director & Coordinator with PR projects, events, requests or other needs
* Assist Director of Sales & Marketing & Marketing Manager on marketing projects, events, promotions, etc,
where needed
* Assist with donation requests
* Assist with administrative areas of CDT education programs / Chan DT Musical Theatre Camp
* Participate in weekly department meeting
* Assist with coordination of radio and print advertising program
* Assist with the creation of social media and blog messages
* Help manage CDT's online presence
* Other projects as assigned

Time Commitment / Specifications:
* Internship will run from approximately September - December  2012.
* Typical work week is Monday – Friday between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., with occasional evening / weekend hours
* Commitment is approximately 20-24 hours per week
* This is an unpaid position
* More than one position is available

Qualifications:
* Current college Junior or Senior level student with an emphasis in Communications,  Public Relations, Marketing and/or Journalism
* Possess excellent writing, editing, organizational and computer skills
* Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task is a must
* Interest in theatre and the arts
* Must receive college credit for internship
