This co-op works directly with the data integrity of our investment information. Principal Global Investors is premier global asset management firm, so maintaining accurate information about our investment ownership and capital availability is essential. During this co-op you will work with a highly qualified team to maintain the accuracy of this information. This will include compiling reports on investment performance, reconciling bank accounts, troubleshooting data inaccuracies & working on various projects determined by the needs of our business.
Qualifications Candidates must be working toward a bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent (with an interest in investments). Excellent problem solving, analytical, detail-oriented, organizational and communication skills required. Must posses good computer skills including experience with MS Word and Excel. Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and be able to meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate will be willing to take on new tasks and look for ways to improve processes or reporting effectiveness. Assertiveness and attention to detail are key to this area of our company.
This position requires full-time employment from January through August 2011 in Des Moines Iowa.
