ACCOUNTING/FINANCE INTERNSHIP

Everybody Wins! Iowa is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Accounting and Finance internship. The Intern will work closely with the Executive Director and is responsible for a variety of accounting-related tasks.
 
Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop monthly deposit spreadsheet
  • Enter invoices in QuickBooks and develop reports
  • Complete payroll and tax functions, with the assistance of the Executive Director
  • Promote EW! IA through special events, bulletin boards, fliers, or other appropriate communication

Additional duties may be assigned by the Executive Director or other Everybody Wins! Iowa staff members.
 
Qualifications and Skills Needed:

  • Previous experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel required (either in the classroom or in a job setting)
  • Must be responsible and confidential when dealing with financial information
  • Organizational skills required
  • Collaborative and flexible worker
  • Good understanding of tax laws, especially those pertaining to non-profits, preferred
  • Self-starter
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail communications (primarily Gmail)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Everybody Wins! Iowa staff and Board members via phone and e-mail
  • Junior status in college or higher preferred

Internship is unpaid but can be completed for college credit. This internship is available now as an intern is needed for the spring semester. It is preferred that someone would continue interning over the summer and into the next school year. Hours are flexible and most work can be completed remotely, using the internet.
