Responsibilities:
•Under the direct supervision of the Derivatives Solutions Group, the associate willAssist in the activities, processes, and systems to improve the equity indexed hedging processAssist with trading and post trading activities •Conduct derivative analysis and researchAssist in building models •Perform data management to assist the analysts and tradersHelp to improve the efficiency of derivative portfolio managementSupport derivative analytics and risk management systems and derivative management reports •Engage in general derivatives research •Assist with derivatives projects and initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications:
•Full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited 4-year College or University in the field of finance, economics, or other directly related field. •Students should be entering at least their junior year and have at least one term remaining following completion of the intern program. •Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills. •Candidate must be detail oriented and have a strong inclination to quantitative and analytical work with numbers •Candidate must possess proficient knowledge of software used for investment analysis and reporting such as Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access. •Additional quantitative skills and knowledge of VBA, Mat lab and basic derivative concepts would be extremely helpful. Internship Rotation:
•Late December 2011 – mid July 2012 (2 positions) •Mid-June 2012 – early January 2013 (2 positions)
