Responsibilities:

The intern will work within Quantitative Solutions Group at AINA to:
•Help Quantitative Solutions Group in discharging day-to-day activities like: maintaining spreadsheets, working with databases, and fulfilling requests for pricing interest rate derivatives, credit derivatives, and hedge fund or fund of funds investments. Learn some of these on the job, as appropriate.
•Help with tasks related to making sure that fixed income analytics are accurate for use. Learn about fixed income analytics on the job, as required.
•Work on ad-hoc projects like: tactical/quantitative asset allocation models for different types of portfolios like core fixed income or tactical yield fund, or strategic asset allocation models for LDI type of work, or relative value models, or portfolio construction models.
Experience and Qualifications
•Skills needed (or expected to be learned on the job): Strong Excel/VBA, Access, Matlab, probability & statistics, portfolio optimization techniques, Monte Carlo simulation techniques, derivative pricing methods, fixed income markets/analytics, and possibly knowledge of liability modeling.
•Full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited 4-year College or University in the field of quant finance, financial engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, or other directly related field. Students should be entering at least their junior year and have at least one term remaining following completion of the intern program.
•Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
