Campus Parking and Transportation Waldorf College

Ride Request Form

Waldorf allows all students to bring a car to campus. We have multiple designated lots for student parking for registered vehicles and provide temporary guest parking passes to visitors.

The college recognizes that there is currently not a local bus or taxi service for students that do not have personal vehicles and need travel assistance. Students that need transportation to out of town airports or clinics during the academic year may use Waldorf College Transportation Services.

Future Transportation Dates

Mon, Aug. 5th – 1st-year students fly-in date for cross country, football, soccer, and volleyball.
Pick up from Minneapolis at 2 p.m. and midnight.

Wed, Aug. 7th – Returning students fly-in date for cross country, football, soccer, and volleyball
Pick up from Minneapolis at 2 p.m. and midnight.

Thurs, Aug. 15th – Fly-in date for cheerleaders, all theatre students, and select communications students.
Pick up at 9 p.m.

Sun, Aug. 18th – Fly-in date for all music students.
Pick up at 9 p.m.

Thurs, Aug. 22nd – Remaining 1st-year  students fly-in date.
Pick up at 2 p.m. and midnight.

Sat, Aug. 24th – Remaining returning students fly-in date
Pick up at 2 p.m. and midnight.

Mid-Term Break

Sat, Oct. 12th – Tue, Oct. 15th
Leave from campus to airport – Fri, Oct. 11th at 4 p.m.
Return to campus from airport – Tue, Oct. 15th at 9 p.m.

Thanksgiving Break

Ride Request Process

  1. All requests for rides must be done 72 hours in advance.
  2. Students may request rides using our Ride Request Form.
  3. Ride requests made less than 72 hours in advance cannot be guaranteed.
  4. All rides will have pick up and drop off at the Campus Information Center desk in the Campus Center.
  5. Shuttle departure times from campus will vary depending on request locations, number of student requests that day, time of requests and availability of drivers and vehicles.
  6. Students should make sure to indicate the amount of luggage they plan to transport with them on the ride request form if it is a large amount.
  7. Students will receive a confirmation email to their Waldorf email confirming ride time, dates and arrangements prior to the ride date.
  8. The student’s account will be charged after the transportation request has been confirmed.

Transportation Shuttle Rates

Charges (applied to student account, cash or check to Waldorf College prior to transport)

  • $20 - One way to Mason City Airport
  • $35 - Round trip to Mason City Airport
  • $50 - One way to Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport
  • $80 - Round trip to Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport

A form must be completed before transportation to any location can be offered to the student. Those who do not fill out a form are not guaranteed transportation.

Airport trips are available during select times and only to Waldorf College students. During college breaks, transportation will only be available on specific days. IF a special trip is made there will be an increase in shuttle costs in an effort to discourage students from missing classes and to recoup costs for gas and finding a driver. Increased prices for Mason City will be $50 and to Minneapolis/St. Paul will be $120 round trip. 

We highly recommend that students book flights after 1:00 p.m. as flights prior to that will require students to be transported the day before. If students need to contact Waldorf due to a delay or emergency, they are encouraged to call 641.585.8500.

No Shows, Reservation Changes and Cancellation Policy

Students who do not show up for a scheduled transport will be charged and will not be refunded. Students may receive a full refund if they cancel 72 hours before their scheduled transport.
