Student Campus Ministry Groups

Students are encouraged to participate in the Religious Life and Campus Ministry of the College wherever they are comfortable. Students are encouraged and invited to develop programs and ministries based upon their gifts, passions and ideas by working with the Campus Ministry Office.

Ministries include:

• ACTS (Active Catholics to Serve) – ACTS is advised by faculty members of the Roman Catholic tradition and the local priest in town. ACTS meets weekly for mass, fellowship and service on Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. in the Recital Hall.

• Exit to Hope – A student led group, Exit to Hope meets Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. for contemporary worship, Bible Study, prayer and fellowship. Exit to Hope hosts The Hope Mime in the fall semester and a retreat in the second semester.

• Friday Night Live – Led by students, Friday Night Live occurs every 2nd of Friday of the month. From 9-10 p.m. a time of worship takes place in the Recital Hall and is followed by games and hanging out in various locations throughout campus until midnight.

• Holden Evening Prayer – Closing out the school week every other Friday, Holden Evening Prayer is a 20 minute service of song based on the prayer services that took place in Holden Village, WA. Holden Evening Prayer is led by student musicians.

• If Jesus Were A Sophomore (IJWAS) – A study on Discipleship for college students based on Bruce Main’s If Jesus Were A Sophomore book. IJWAS meets Sundays at 7:30 p.m. in the Louise V. Hanson Library Lounge with books provided.

• Life Transformation Groups (LTG) – LTGs are groups of 2-3 people who meet weekly in order for those involved to develop stronger and deeper relationships with each other and God. Groups meet whenever and wherever the group members decide. Any time the group grows to four or more people, it splits into smaller groups of 2-3. Perfect for those who feel uncomfortable in larger settings, LTGs work to make disciples as they bring about community, accountability, confidentiality, flexibility and reproducibility.

• Lutheran Student Organization – Led by the Associate Pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church, LSO is a Christian student organization that welcomes all people. The LSO are looking for students who want to grow as leaders, grow in their faith and have lots of fun.
