Biography: Christina Schmidt enters her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Waldorf College softball team. After graduating from Preston High School in Preston, Iowa, Schmidt attended Loras College, a NCAA Division III school in Dubuque, Iowa, where she played softball. In her sophomore year, Schmidt helped lead the Duhawks to the IIAC (Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Conference Tournament. Before coming to Waldorf, Schmidt was an assistant coach at her alma mater, Preston High School, and headed the junior high program. In 2008, Preston High School finished seventh at the State Softball Tournament. In May of 2009, Schmidt earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Management and Administration with a Public Relations Minor. Schmidt is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Business Administration.
