The Sociology Department provides courses for several groups of students:

1. Those planning a career in community and social service professions;
2. Adults employed by social service agencies desiring professional development through continuing education;
3. Persons interested in law enforcement (Administration of Justice) as a career;
4. Students seeking to round out their liberal arts education with appropriate social science course work
