Students in the program compete to edit and produce Crusader: A Journal of Engaged Writing, the annual campus literary magazine, as well as work with creative writing faculty as teaching assistants.

In addition to publishing their work in Crusader, students are invited to submit their work to the Salveson Prizes in Poetry and Prose each year.

Our Distinguished Visiting Writers Series is a unique event designed to offer students a deeper insight into writing. In the past, students have worked with nationally-recognized writers such as Jennifer Kwon Dobbs, Debra Marquart, and Benjamin Percy.
