FOREST CITY, IOWA – Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor, Waldorf College associate professor of music, has dedicated over five years of her life to researching Icelandic composer and musician Thorkell Sigurbjörnsson and his influence on the nation’s music. Dr. Taylor’s journey to publishing The Complete Solo Piano Works of Thorkell Sigurbjörnsson, a collection of piano compositions created over 42 years, did not follow a conventional process.

FOREST CITY, IOWA – Waldorf College will be hosting an overnight women’s high school soccer camp June 28-29. Waldorf College head women’s soccer coach Casey Curoe will be holding the camp for the second consecutive year.

FOREST CITY, IOWA – Waldorf College will host two summer piano camps in July. Middle school piano camp will take place from July 20-23, and the high school camp will be from July 24-27. These summer camps are planned by Waldorf College associate professor of music and pianist Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor. This year's theme is "Too Cool for School."

FOREST CITY, IOWA - Over 125 Waldorf students were named as members of the Waldorf College’s spring 2014 Dean’s List. To receive the honor, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and complete a minimum of 12 credits during the semester.

FOREST CITY, Iowa – This spring will be the third consecutive year that the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps will hold their spring training on the Waldorf College campus.  They will be on campus from May 21 to June 11, holding extensive practice sessions to prepare their competitive show for tour.

FOREST CITY, IOWA| An enthusiastic group of Waldorf Honors College and Communications students will soon depart for a three week adventure in Europe. The group departs from Forest City, Iowa, Monday, May 12 and returns Monday, June 2.

FOREST CITY, Iowa | The Waldorf Theatre Company will be performing Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on their 2014 summer tour across the Midwest. They will be performing in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin – ending with a final performance at Pilot Knob State Park near Forest City, Iowa, on June 6 at noon.
