Waldorf College has announced its dean’s list for the 2009-10 spring semester. To receive the honor, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and complete a minimum class load of 12 credits

Three students in the Waldorf College Adult Degree Program have been named to the 2009-10 dean’s list for the third term. In order to qualify for the dean's list, a student in the program must have completed 12 semester hours at Waldorf, enroll full-time (six hours or more) during a term, and obtain a 3.5 grade point average for the term.

Twenty-one Waldorf college faculty and staff members were recognized for employment milestones at the annual employee recognition dinner on Friday, April 30.

The Gay-Straight Alliance at Waldorf College received the award, “Best College GSA” from the Iowa Pride Network for the second consecutive year.  The annual award recognizes Iowa’s best LGBT student organizations that have shown a committed effort to raise awareness of LGBT issues on their campus and in their communities; and have pioneered programs that have increased the respect for all people

The Waldorf College Theatre Company class is launching their summer tour locally with Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew,” May 27-June 10.  The performances are open to the public.  Admission is “pay what you will” with all proceeds to be used for the group’s tour to Alabama and Florida, June 11-16

Two Waldorf College staff members were honored with one of the school’s most prestigious annual awards - the Holmen Community Service Award.  Mary Mathiasen, director of student health services, and Vickie Zobel, administrative assistant for the education department received their awards at the annual faculty/staff recognition dinner on Friday, April 30.

Two Waldorf College faculty and staff members were honored with one of the school’s most prestigious annual awards - the Holmen Professional Excellence Award. Professor Joe Wilkins, director of creative writing and assistant professor of English, and Brian Keely, director of campus dining/Aramark received the award at the annual faculty/staff recognition dinner on Friday, April 30.
