Denny Jerome announced today he will now focus his attention on his efforts as head coach of the Waldorf College women’s basketball team. Jerome will step aside from his joint duties as the college’s athletic director to prepare the women’s team for a stellar season.

Today Waldorf College officials announced that the 2010/2011 school year will begin with a new Women's Wrestling Program. Waldorf will be the first College in the state of Iowa to offer women's wrestling.

Waldorf College, a four-year liberal arts school, would like to extend its heartfelt sympathies to all students and faculty recently displaced by the closing of Dana College. The "home on the hill" will be missed. Lauren Trembath, a Waldorf College creative writing major from Clear Lake, Iowa, has been selected to attend the 2010 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference in Middlebury, Vt., August 11-21, 2010. The New Yorker magazine calls the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, "The oldest and most prestigious writers' conference in the country."

Waldorf College has announced its dean’s list for the 2009-10 spring semester. To receive the honor, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and complete a minimum class load of 12 credits

Three students in the Waldorf College Adult Degree Program have been named to the 2009-10 dean’s list for the third term. In order to qualify for the dean's list, a student in the program must have completed 12 semester hours at Waldorf, enroll full-time (six hours or more) during a term, and obtain a 3.5 grade point average for the term.

Twenty-one Waldorf college faculty and staff members were recognized for employment milestones at the annual employee recognition dinner on Friday, April 30.
