World-renowned music ensemble Tami Tango Trio will delight the Forest City Community with Argentinian melodies in Waldorf Community Artist Series on Tuesday, October 11.
When Carolyn Enstad's parents dropped her off at Waldorf College in the fall of 1969,they noticed a lot of men would be living in her dorm.
"There was more men in that dorm then in my high school class," Enstad said.
Her parents were worried but Enstad wasn't.
"I told them 'mom and dad, I'm going to love it here,'" Enstad said.
She did love it, along with other friends from her class of 1971 that returned for homecoming on the Forest City campus this past weekend.
Wilkins, an assistant professor of creative writing at Waldorf, will hold a reading of his newly published collection of poetry, "Killing the Murnion Dogs" at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 at in the Salveson Ballroom.
"For a poet, getting that first book is like getting the keys to the car," Wilkins said.

Homecoming weekend is Friday through Sunday, Sept. 23-25.
The event is scheduled 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at locations across campus. Registration is 9 to 9:15 a.m. in the Atrium, located between Salveson and Thorson halls. The monthly Open House events are the best way for students to experience Waldorf College.
Local college students are learning how one young American ventured out and decided to work his way out of poverty with just 25 dollars to his name.
Adam Shepard, author of "Scratch Beginnings," spoke at Waldorf College on Wednesday. His book chronicles a social experiment he organized for himself.
Waldorf College is proud to announce the winner of the Waldorf Hero Behind the Hero Scholarship, which honors the spouses and children of active-duty public safety personnel (firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs and dispatchers) and military men and women.
