Twenty-one Waldorf college faculty and staff members were recognized for employment milestones at the annual employee recognition dinner on Friday, April 30.
The Gay-Straight Alliance at Waldorf College received the award, “Best College GSA” from the Iowa Pride Network for the second consecutive year. The annual award recognizes Iowa’s best LGBT student organizations that have shown a committed effort to raise awareness of LGBT issues on their campus and in their communities; and have pioneered programs that have increased the respect for all people
The Waldorf College Theatre Company class is launching their summer tour locally with Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew,” May 27-June 10. The performances are open to the public. Admission is “pay what you will” with all proceeds to be used for the group’s tour to Alabama and Florida, June 11-16
Head baseball coach Chad Gassman recently signed three new athletes for the upcoming 2011 baseball season. The three new athletes, Shaun McGuire, Colin Morgan, and Spenser Popinga, are transfers from North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), where they were top players for the Trojans program.
