Internationally celebrated Russian string ensemble performing in Forest City

Forest City, Iowa – The Waldorf Community Artist Series will welcome Chamber Orchestra Kremlin to Forest City on Sunday, March 24, for a 7:30 p.m. performance at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Comprised of some of Russia’s finest young string players, the group has earned national and international recognition as one of the country’s leading ensembles. The orchestra travels the world, playing concerts and festivals in North and South America, Europe, and the Far East, as well as in its hometown of Moscow. Music director Misha Rachlevsky founded the orchestra in 1991.

Chamber Orchestra Kremlin is known for its high-energy performances and has a catalog of more than 30 CDs.

The ensemble will be in Forest City as part of the Waldorf Community Artist Series, which has brought celebrated singers, musicians, and other performers from across the nation and world to Forest City for the past 25 years.

Tickets for Chamber Orchestra Kremlin are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the Forest City Chamber of Commerce or by calling the Waldorf College Information Center at 800-292-1903.
