Forest City, Iowa – The Waldorf Community Artist Series will complete its 25th season on Sunday, April 21, with a performance by Icelandic flutists Gudrún Birgisdóttir and Martial Nardeau at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 7:30 p.m.
Renowned for their solo careers, Birgisdóttir and Nardeau both have performed with various orchestras and groups throughout Europe, including the Icelandic Opera Orchestra and Icelandic Symphony Orchestra.
They have been performing together since 1979, with multiple successful recordings and concert tours spanning both America and Europe. With performances that have been called fascinating and charming, their skilled partnership makes for a memorable concert.
The pair will be in Forest City as part of the Waldorf Community Artist Series, which has brought celebrated singers, musicians, and other performers from across the nation and world to Forest City for the past 25 years.
Tickets for the performance are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the Forest City Chamber of Commerce or by calling the Waldorf College Information Center at 800-292-1903.
