Stand up comedian and writer Preacher Moss will present his “End of Racism” comedy and lecture show at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa on Monday, January 20. The comedian comes to Waldorf on the 31st national recognition of MLK Day.

Directed by Waldorf’s Adjunct Instructor of Music Sarah Luebke, nine area students from Waldorf College, North Iowa Area Community College, Mason City High School, and Garner-Hayfield Ventura High School recently traveled to Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., to compete at the Central Regional National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Competition.

Waldorf College will honor long-time women’s basketball coach Denny Jerome on Saturday, Nov. 9, as the Hanson Fieldhouse basketball court is formally named Denny Jerome Court. President Bob Alsop will lead a dedication ceremony ten minutes prior to the team taking on Graceland University at 1 p.m.

Deb Ryg, a lieutenant with the Clear Lake Police Department and a senior in criminal justice administration at Waldorf College, successfully completed training at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va., this summer.
