Waldorf College’s Iowa Iota Chapter of the Alpha Chi Honor Society inducted 18 new members on Sunday, Sept. 30.
The Waldorf Lutheran Association of Congregations will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. in the Ballroom in Salveson Hall.
Residents of the Forest City area will join with thousands of other Iowans in a one-kilometer Healthiest State Walk at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 3. Local walkers will meet Downtown Forest City in Courthouse Square at the Tank. This community event is being coordinated by Waldorf College Associate Professor of Wellness Kristi Leonard.
Forest City, Iowa – Waldorf College continues the tradition of organ donation awareness on campus by hosting its annual 5K on Saturday, September 29. Revenues from the event will be donated to the Iowa Donor Network.

In 1776, a group of 13 separate colonies came together and declared their independence. They won the War for Independence (1776—1783) and set forth to establish a new government for the United States of America.
In 1787, fifty-five representatives from 12 states met in Philadelphia to create a new government. On September 17, 1787 thirty-nine members of the Constitution Convention signed the final draft of the United States Constitution.

Biology professor Dr. Paul Bartelt will join Governor Terry Branstad’s Advisory Boards to strengthen the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education in local and statewide schools.
