Waldorf College’s Distinguished Visiting Writer Series welcomes Patrick Hicks on Tuesday, February 5. Hicks will speak to creative writing classes at Waldorf College as well as reciting his own work at a public reading.

The Luise V. Hanson Library at Waldorf College has been awarded the Muslim Journeys Bookshelf from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The college library is one of only six institutions in Iowa to be granted the collection.

Michael Fosberg will perform his critically acclaimed one-man play Incognito at Waldorf College's Atrium on January 21, at 1:00 p.m. as part of the college's celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Dr. Blake Slonecker, Assistant Professor of History and Political Science at Waldorf College, will debut his first book this month. “A New Dawn for the New Left: Liberation News Service, Montague Farm, and the Long Sixties” examines the interstices between sexual liberation, counterculture, antinuclear activism, and Marxism.

Waldorf College Associate Professor of Creative Writing Joe Wilkins will host a public reading of Notes from the Journey Westward, his latest collection of poems. This is his second collection of published poetry and winner of the 17th Annual White Pine Press Prize in Poetry.
