Waldorf College to host women’s high school soccer camp

Waldorf College
FOREST CITY, IOWA – Waldorf College will be hosting an overnight women’s high school soccer camp June 28-29. Waldorf College head women’s soccer coach Casey Curoe will be holding the camp for the second consecutive year.
The focus of the camp is to replicate Waldorf women’s soccer pre-season camp for their college soccer players. “I want the younger players to get an idea of what it would be like,” Curoe said. “This camp will give students an insight of a collegiate level pre-season training camp.”
Technical skills will be emphasized during the six sessions available to participants. “As a coach, simplicity is my philosophy.” Curoe said. “If you can do the small things at a high level, you can start to really learn the game.”
This camp is ideal for young women who love the sport and intend to play beyond high school. “If you want to play college soccer, then this is a great opportunity for you,” Curoe said. Curoe was a four-year collegiate soccer player for NCAA Division III, Cornell College, where she received awards for her athleticism. She joined the Waldorf soccer coaching staff in 2010 and was named head women’s soccer coach in 2011.
Registration ends June 26. More information about the camp can be found at www.waldorfsoccercamps.com or by contacting Coach Curoe at casey.curoe@waldorf.edu.
