Shreeve receives President’s Award at Waldorf College commencement
FOREST CITY, Iowa | Chelsey Shreeve of Cottrellville, Mich., was announced as the 2014 recipient of The President’s Award at Waldorf College’s commencement ceremony on May 3.
“Chelsey has been a great leader on campus,” President Alsop said. Shreeve was involved in numerous activities on campus. “She is well known and well liked, held in highest regard by faculty on campus. She is overall a great representative of Waldorf College,” he said.
The President’s Award is Waldorf’s most prestigious student award. It is awarded each year at the spring commencement ceremony to one deserving student who displays outstanding academic achievement, exceptional leadership, moral character, high integrity, and service beyond self. These chosen individuals reflect with great precision the highest ideals of the mission of Waldorf College. The selection of The President’s Award begins with the students, who nominate and vote for candidates, followed by faculty and staff input before the final decision is made.
Shreeve graduated on May 3 with a double major in Theatre Arts and Education. She was involved in Theatre and Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society.  In her commencement speech, Shreeve expressed her appreciation for her Waldorf experience and urged her fellow graduates to serve their communities with enthusiasm and commitment.
