I have served as chairman of the Waldorf Lutheran College Foundation Board of Directors for about18 months. Since we all have a keen interest in the success of Waldorf College I wanted to provide you with a progress report on the Foundation's efforts to assist the college by providing scholarships to Waldorf students, maintaining a vibrant campus ministry program and fostering a stronger relationship with alumni and the Forest City community.

The Sunday night jury pronounced Jake Studor guilty of assault. A new verdict from the residents of Forest City, different from the one declared over 100 years ago.

Many more curious questions followed in the second summer orientation held on Waldorf campus, Friday, July 22. In its fourth year, Waldorf’s second summer program drew a total of 51 students from throughout the Midwest.

Three-time U.S. Olympian Jim Spivey will share his love of distance running with high school athletes at the cross-country camp to be held at Waldorf College July 20-23.

Work on the first phase of a shared sports facilities project in Forest City is scheduled for completion in September.

This first phase includes turning the Waldorf College football complex into a soccer field with artificial turf.

Prospective students and their parents will have a chance to visit Waldorf's campus on July 16 and learn what the four-year liberal arts school has to offer.
