Scott Searcy become the interim vice president of academic affairs and dean of Waldorf College Monday.
Searcy, who served as the dean of assessment and accreditation at the college for six years, is replacing Bob Alsop, who began his official duties as Waldorf president-elect on Monday.

Folks in Forest City will soon have a new sports complex the entire community can be a part of. Forest City Schools, Waldorf College and the community will share the complex. They are currently working to turf the soccer field.

I have served as chairman of the Waldorf Lutheran College Foundation Board of Directors for about18 months. Since we all have a keen interest in the success of Waldorf College I wanted to provide you with a progress report on the Foundation's efforts to assist the college by providing scholarships to Waldorf students, maintaining a vibrant campus ministry program and fostering a stronger relationship with alumni and the Forest City community.
