Assistant Professor of Business/Economics

Waldorf College seeks candidates for a permanent, full-time position in its Business Department. Responsibilities involve teaching a wide range of courses including Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Business Law, International Business, Marketing Cases, Financial Statement Analysis, Introduction to Business and Production and Operations Management; also responsible for advising business majors. Successful candidate must be willing to teach general business courses in support of the BA program in Business. Candidates must possess a minimum of an MBA degree. Position begins mid-August 2013. Review of applications begins immediately and continues until position is filled.
 
Candidates should possess the following:
1.      MBA required; Ph.D. preferable.
2.      A strong commitment to the development and welfare of undergraduate students both inside and outside of the classroom.
3.      Evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level preferred.
4.      Commitment to continued professional development and involvement of students in undergraduate research.
5.      The ability to relate well to students, faculty and staff.
6.      Excellent communication skills.
7.      A willingness to be responsible for student outcomes
8.  Willingness to meet prospective students and their parents who visit campus.
