Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill

The Ch. 30 Montgomery GI Bill provides up to 36 months of education benefits to veterans. If eligible, Veterans will have up to 10 years, following the release from active duty, to utilize their benefits. For questions concerning eligibility, please contact Veterans Affairs.

  • Paperwork Needed for Enrollment at Waldorf College:
    Veterans will need to submit a copy of their DD-214 and the 22-1990 (Application for Education Benefits) or 22-1995 (Request for Change of Program or Place of Training).
  • Veterans may apply for benefits online through VONAPP (Veterans On Line Application). Please note that this paperwork must be provided by the Veteran to both the VA Office and Waldorf College; Waldorf will not forward paperwork to the VA office.
  • Payment Options:
    Students are required to pay out of pocket in order to get started with courses at Waldorf College. Students may elect to pay in full, utilize the payment plan or the VA Flex Payment Plan.
    • Payment Plan
      Students may pay their tuition split over two payments and have it automatically charged to a credit card. Half of the tuition due is charged to a credit card upon enrollment and half of the tuition due is charged to a credit card in 4 weeks.
    • VA Flex Payment Plan
      VA students may place a $99 down payment for the first or second enrollment. Tuition must be paid in full prior to the third enrollment. This VA Flex Payment Plan is not available for Federal Student Aid, Tuition Assistance, Chapter 31, Chapter 33 and/or if you are receiving any other form of financial assistance.

  • WAVE System (Web Automated Verification of Enrollment)
    Students utilizing Ch. 30, 35, 1606, and 1607 must verify their enrollment at the end of every month using the WAVE system, which can be done online or by phone.


Chapter 35 Survivors and Dependents Assistance

  • Dependents' Educational Assistance provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain veterans. The program offers up to 45 months of education benefits. For questions concerning eligibility, please contact Veterans Affairs.
  • Paperwork Needed for Enrollment at Waldorf College:
    Students must submit a copy of the 22-5490 (Application for Education Benefits) or 22-5495 (Request for Change of Program or Place of Training); a DD-214 is not required.

      A Spouse or Dependent of a Veteran is considered a Learning Partner with Waldorf College. All Learning Partners will receive a waived application fee and 10% discount on their tuition. For verification purposes, Waldorf will require proof of relation.


Chapter 1606 Selected Reserves

  • The selected reserves include the Army Reserves, Navy Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Coast Guard Reserve, Army National Guard, and Air National Guard. For questions concerning eligibility, please contact Veterans Affairs.
