Waldorf College residency three-day, one-credit courses are offered tuition-free and are held in various locations across the country. Students enrolled in the online program have the added benefit of attending one to four of these courses. Courses are designed to provide networking opportunities for students, hands-on instruction from faculty, professional advising, and opportunities to work with experts in the field on current, relevant topics.
One of the most exciting residency opportunities is offered just before the annual Waldorf Commencement Ceremony held at the end of April on the Waldorf College campus in Forest City, Iowa. For students who wish to celebrate finishing their degree program with hundreds of other Waldorf residential and online program graduates, this is the perfect opportunity to complete the residency portion of their program.
One-semester hour of residency credit is required for every 30-semester hours of credit earned online at Waldorf. The one-semester hour of residency credit must be completed within the 30-semester hours of credit block.
All residencies courses generally begin at 5 p.m. Friday and end early Sunday afternoon, local time. Note: The residency before the graduation weekend will be Wednesday through Friday. A schedule and course descriptions are available for all residency courses.
Note: Psychology students must take their residency credit hours from either the PSY or BIO residencies.
