Waldorf College residency three-day, one-credit courses are offered tuition-free and are held at convenient locations across the country, including the Waldorf campus. Students enrolled in the online program have the added benefit of attending one to four of these courses. Courses are designed to provide networking opportunities for students, hands-on instruction from faculty, professional advising, and opportunities to work with experts in the field on current, relevant topics.
One of the most exciting residency opportunities is offered just before the annual Waldorf Commencement Ceremony held at the end of April on the Waldorf College campus in Forest City, Iowa. For students who wish to celebrate finishing their degree program with hundreds of other Waldorf residential and online program graduates, this is the perfect opportunity to complete the residency portion of their program.
One-semester hour of residency credit is required for every 30-semester hours of credit earned online at Waldorf. The one-semester hour of residency credit must be completed within the 30-semester hours of credit block.
All residencies courses generally begin at 5 p.m. Friday and end early Sunday afternoon, local time. Note: The residency before the graduation weekend will be Wednesday through Friday. A schedule and course descriptions are available for all residency courses.
Note: Psychology students must take their residency credit hours from either the PSY or BIO residencies.
Whether you are searching for an online program and want to test out a class or just want to further your training, Waldorf encourages you to take advantage of our residency course offerings! Courses are offered at the low rate of $99 for non-Waldorf students. This fee is refundable should you need to cancel and will be refunded towards your first term tuition if you enroll in a Waldorf online degree program.
