Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts

Liberal Arts DegreeWaldorf’s Associate in Arts degree in Liberal Arts combines a core of studies in the liberal arts with the opportunity for students to select specific areas of concentration. This combination provides a broad base of knowledge in several subject areas, along with the option to more deeply explore a specific area of interest. For students who may wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the future, the associate’s degree program is designed to prepare for entry into Waldorf’s bachelor’s degree programs with upper division standing.

Estimated time of completion of this program is 2 years for full-time enrollment.

Concentration

The concentration option requires completion of the curriculum for the A.A. in Liberal Arts, including a minimum of 12 credits in the area of concentration. Concentrations include:

  • Communications
    (12 COM credit hours, including: (a) COM 1010, (b) COM 1020, (c) COM 1030, and (d) COM 1040 or COM 2010)
  • Criminal Justice
    (12 CRJ credit hours, including CRJ 2000)
  • Fire Science
    (12 FSC credit hours)
  • Psychology
    (12 PSY credit hours, including: (a) PSY 1010 and (b) PSY 3140, PSY 3450, or PSY 3460)
